Project SEARCH Graduation 2016-17

On Thursday July 6th, we held our Graduation ceremony for 2016-17, in the Sovereign Lecture Theatre at Bradford Royal Infirmary. Eight interns have successfully completed the programme in order to graduate.

The graduates, began their journeys in September 2016, and have completed three work experience placements, in a variety of roles and settings. The Graduation was a real celebration of their achievements, and the beginning the next chapter of their lives as they start to find paid employment.

Professor Clive Kay, chief executive of Bradford Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust, opened the Graduation and certificates and trophies were presented by Councillor Richard Dunbar, Dominic Wall, chief executive of Southfield Grange Trust, and Pat Campbell, director of HR at BTHFT.

The ceremony was attended by interns and their families, their placement mentors, staff from Southfield School, Hft, the University of Bradford, as well as staff and managers from BTHFT.

Umar, has already found employment at the University of Bradford in an administrative role in the HR department, and a new apprenticeship for Mark at BTHFT was also announced at the event.

Lorraine Cameron, said: “I’m delighted that we’ve once again hosted this graduation ceremony. It’s a real highlight for the Trust, sharing in the achievement of the interns who have gained over 900 hours on the job work experience and we wish them every success for their future, some of whom we hope will start jobs with us.”

Congratulations all interns, we are proud of what you have achieved this year!
